Can EnviroHold prevent mulch from fading?
Yes. Nothing beats the natural look of mulch. EnviroHold helps preserve that look. Its special formulation of UV inhibitors help the mulch retain its color, while its bonding ingredients keep mulch in place so it doesn’t blow or wash away.
Is EnviroHold expensive?
No. A bag of mulch can cost $4.00 or more. Depending on the number of areas you need to mulch, that can get expensive, especially if you need to replace or replenish the mulch more than once a year. Since EnviroHold locks your mulch in place, there is no need to constantly replace or replenish your mulch. That can save you a tremendous amount of money over time – and EnviroHold costs only pennies per square yard.
How much EnviroHold do I need?
That depends on the area. With EnviroHold a little goes a long way. Just one 1.5 gallon container of ready-to use EnviroHold covers up to 2,000 square feet. If you need more than that, our 2.5 gallon concentrate covers up to 7,500 square feet. For trouble areas, it is always a good idea to double coat.
Is EnviroHold messy?
No. EnviroHold is simply sprayed on. Our ready-to-use pump sprayer has a built-in sprayer, so it’s very easy to use. The sprayer nozzle can be adjusted for targeted problem areas easily. Our concentrate is diluted with water and can be used in a simple self-pumping garden sprayer. EnviroHold cleans up with just soap and water.
Is EnviroHold only for mulch?
No. EnviroHold can be used on just about any ground cover including pine straw and needles, wood chips, hay, straw, sand, dirt, pebbles and light rock.
Can EnviroHold prevent erosion?
Yes. EnviroHold’s patent pending formula is ideal for preventing dirt and sand from blowing or washing away. Use it around freshly dug soil to prevent it from getting onto walkways and driveways.
Can I buy EnviroHold in stores?

How long does Envirohold bond to ground cover?
Envirohold is specially formulated to last a long time. It can last up to 12 months, but the exact amount of time really depends on the specific application. For instance, the useful bonding life of Envirohold on wood chips will be shorter than on pine straw. The reason: the weight and size of the ground cover are dramatically different. Another variable is how Envirohold is applied. A heavier application will last longer than a lighter application. Additionally, mixing the concentrate with less water can also improve its bonding longevity. Finally, the amount of time Envirohold is allowed to cure is important. Envirohold begins working immediately, but takes up to 48 hours to completely cure – without rain or water from a sprinkler system diluting it soon after the application. Double coating trouble spots, such as around downspouts, driveways and on sloped areas, will also help keep the groundcover in those areas in place longer.
